Letters for publication should be no longer than 150 words, must include the writer's address and phone numbers. No attachments, please.

We regret we cannot return or acknowledge unpublished letters. Writers of those letters selected for publication will be notified within a week. Letters may be shortened for space requirements.

As with any letter, writers speak only for themselves or their organizations; publication should not be  taken as an endorsement of that view by Cancun service. The aim is to stimulate discussion, not end it.

 By sending a letter, the author grants Cancunservice the rights to publish, distribute, archive and use the work in print, electronic, online or other format. We reserve the right to edit for space, clarity, civility and accuracy, and we send you the edited version before publication. If your letter is selected, we will try to reach you and ask a few questions: Did you write the letter? (We're not amused by impostors.)  Do you have a connection to the subject you're writing about? (Readers should be able to judge your credibility and motivation.)
